Examples of ILC’s experience in legal transactions include:
- Advising on Independent Power Provider Agreements and strategy for Government of a West African country;
- Legal advisor to global telecoms businesses and national regulators on various projects, ranging in value from several hundred millions to £1Billion;
- Advising Government of Ghana on the issue of its first sovereign bond- value $750M;
- Privatisation of a nation’s second national telecoms operator – value $120M;
- Advising on the $1Billion planned construction of a nation’s first bauxite refinery;
- Advisor on the development of a $100M 5-star hotel, office and residential complex;
- Advisor on the $500M development of a nation’s first substantial sea-front project, comprising apartments, 3 hotels, waterparks etc. ;
- Advising on natural gas and elctricity-related matters.
Examples of ILC’s experience in consulting include:
- Provide policy analysis, advocacy and support for acquisition of licenses and permits for planned investments in housing and other sectors by international engineering and contracting consortium;
- Private sector participation and reforms, policy and program development lead for a major donor Government’s grant formulation processes mandated by a national gas company to present its natural gas project at SIPPE 2011 exhibition in Shanghai, and subsequent follow-up activities;
- Consultancy services for improvement of ferry services on inland lake – feasibility to final design and supervision – support services, including employment of local engineering and environmental experts;
- Organised advocacy and media relations, created and directed a consortium of local companies to partner with lead contractor for design and implementation of a biometric national identification system;
- Lead consultant for development of 5-year strategic Plans for key national governance institutions (Parliament, Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice);
- Developed a strategic action plan for public sector reform in post-conflict West African country;
- Public finance management specialist for reform of National Police Service in a post-conflict Central African country;
- Consultant on public sector financial planning and management reforms in various sectors, including finance, health and rural water and sanitation.
