Annabel Tagoe-Bannerman

ANNABEL TAGOE-BANNERMAN is a senior consultant with ILC .  She is an experienced corporate and commercial solicitor (England & Wales qualified) who has worked extensively in the law, both in private practice and commerce and industry over the last 15 years. 

Annabel has many years’ experience in leading, negotiating and managing medium and large scale corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, demergers, divestments of portfolios, joint ventures and listing of companies on the London Stock Exchange.  Annabel has recently successfully led and completed circa £2.3bn merger of two of the largest retail and online sports and leisure businesses in the UK (Ladbrokes Plc and Coral – betting and gaming giants).

Further, Annabel has many years’ experience practicing commercial law including negotiating large scale commercial contracts, advising on Information Technology contracts, non-contentious Intellectual Property arrangements, data protection and anti-trust related matters. She has managed and advised on a number of high profile contentious and litigation matters on complex commercial/contractual disputes, health and safety regulatory investigations and advising on intellectual property/data protection infringements.

Annabel has recently completed a seven-year term in Commerce & Industry in the role of Group General Counsel and Executive Committee Member of a FTSE 250 company, a role which focused on advising the Chairman and the PLC board of directors on all legal, compliance and governance issues.

Annabel trained, qualified and worked for several years at the London City corporate firm,  
S J Berwin LLP.  Prior to that, Annabel worked for a couple of years at DLA undertaking corporate legal work.
